Behind a mountain, there’s another mountain Meaning:There is more to the person than meets the eye
I remember growing up when the so call “big guy” would step on the soccer field were we were playing and would demand that he be part of the game. He won’t leave until he plays. Sometimes to stay away from trouble, we would let him play, other times when we want to stand our ground, we don’t let him in.
There is that particular time, when we refused to let him play, he took the ball and shoved one of our friends. We knew we couldn’t fight him, I went and told my family. Mind you, we are a total of seven. Five brothers and two sisters.
We all would come back for this so call bully.
The mistake he made that day from was thinking I was by myself. He was dead wrong; there was more to me than he knew (Dèyè Monn Gen Monn).
Today, I am more than happy to know as a Christian, I have a God Almighty watching my back when Satan wants to bully me. There are more than 30 verses in the Bible assuring us of His protection, reminding us that his watchful eyes are on us at all times. My favorite one is Deut. 31v6 “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
Take solace today that God’s power is much more powerful than a family of 7, 10, or 20. His refuge will never be too far to find protection, Nor His eyes too busy to not see when you are in trouble. Be in good spirit that His hands NEVER too short to protect you from the evil one.
